Every change to the editor, the dancer view, and the stage. One update a month.
September 2026
New
Segment notes show as a caption while the piece plays
Notes you write on a segment now appear over the stage during playback, in the editor and in every dancer's view link. Turn it off in the Segments panel, or drag the caption wherever it reads best.
New
Dancer labels your way, plus keyboard shortcuts
Choose how pins are labelled and move dancers without touching the mouse.
Dancer settings has a new Appearance section: initials, initials with name, number, or no label.
Arrow keys nudge selected dancers one snap step. Hold Shift for a bigger step.
[ and ] jump to the previous and next formation.
Cmd or Ctrl + A selects every dancer on stage. Esc clears the selection.
A keyboard icon next to Redo opens the full shortcut list.
Improved
Opening a performance now shows it loading
Click a performance on the dashboard and the card says it is opening while the editor loads, and the editor skeleton appears sooner. No more wondering whether the click landed.
New
Cheer floor preset with strip lines
Stage settings has a new Cheer Floor preset sized to a competition spring floor, with a toggle that draws the strip seams on the stage. Shows in the editor and in the dancer view.
August 2026
Improved
3D view uses a dancer figure
Dancers in the 3D view are now a figure instead of a box, in the editor and the dancer view. Selection shows as a ring on the floor.
Fixed
Editor no longer crashes when the browser translates the page
Chrome and Edge auto-translate was breaking the editor for some choreographers. The editor now opts out of page translation so it stays stable.
New
Basketball court lines on the stage floor
Coaches staging on a gym floor can turn on court lines in Stage settings. Lines are drawn to scale and centered, in the editor and the dancer view.
Fixed
Dancer pins stay the same size when you zoom
Zooming the stage used to grow the pins with the grid, so clusters stayed overlapped. Pins now keep their size, so zooming in spreads a tight group apart and clicks land on the right dancer.
New
Formation settings in the right-click menu
Right-click a formation in the timeline and choose Formation settings to jump straight to that formation's panel.
Fixed
Menus and the color picker stay on screen
The formation right-click menu and the dancer color picker now flip or shift to stay fully visible near the bottom of the window.
Fixed
Spaces in formation names stick
Typing a space at the end of a formation name no longer deletes it.
Fixed
Per-dancer transition timing stays on its formation
Changing one dancer's transition time on a formation could also change it on an earlier formation while the playhead moved. Each edit now lands only on the formation you are editing.
